Dear Flintshire Liberal Democrat Members, Supporters and Friends,

I should like to take this opportunity to personally introduce myself as the Welsh Liberal Democrats Assembly candidate for Delyn in the forthcoming National Assembly for Wales Elections (5th May 2011). As you may recall the Flintshire Candidates official adoption meeting took place on the 13th January 2011, and I was absolutely thrilled when those present embraced me as the local Party's Delyn candidate.

    Dear Friend,

I would like to introduce myself as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Alyn & Deeside in the forthcoming Welsh Assembly election. The coming year will present us with many challenges and opportunities as Liberal Democrats, firstly with regards to maintaining a separate Welsh identity as a party but also the chance to show how Liberal Democrats are a serious player in national politics with a proven track record for helping families deal with the financial mess we have inherited. I am sure that with your help we can continue the progress made by local members in carrying the torch forward for liberal democracy in Alyn & Deeside.

Flintshire Welsh Liberal Democrats have announced Michele Jones and Peter Williams, as their candidates for Delyn and Alyn & Deeside respectively for the Welsh Assembly elections on May 5th .

Michele Jones, who is a Town Councillor for Flint, said

"I am delighted and honoured to be chosen to contest this seat, and hope to show the residents of Delyn that there is a realistic alternative in the Welsh Liberal Democrats. Delyn is my home - I went to school here, and raised my family here. I believe the Labour-Plaid Assembly Government have failed the residents of Flintshire. Just look at the state of the Health service throughout Wales. Huge amounts of money wasted whilst waiting lists remain unacceptably high and ambulance waiting times are ludicrous."
